  • Avacta has entered into a Capital Access Window, voluntarily pausing trading of shares on AIM, in connection with a proposed equity fundraise. Further detail on this raise is expected in due course. The cash runway continues to extend into early Q127, with last reported cash of c £10.6m at end-August 2026, beyond key catalysts for the pre|CISION peptide-drug conjugate (PDC) pipeline. Avacta is in an investment intensive period, having embarked on the AVA6103 (Fap-Exd) FOCUS-01 Phase I/II trial, treating the first patient in March. We note that financing activities have raised c £19m YTD in 2026, with proceeds of the most recent £9m June raise directed to paying down the convertible loan note (£12m outstanding balance as of end-September).
  • New funds will be directed to enabling continued investment into the pre|CISION platform and PDC pipeline towards upcoming value inflection points. These include: (1) first efficacy data for AVA6103 in H127, building on initial safety and pharmacokinetic disclosures (September 2026 Update); (2) payload selection and candidate nomination for AVA6207, the first dual-payload PDC, in Q426; and (3) further clinical data for faridoxorubicin in salivary gland cancer at ESMO in October. Further clinical news flow over the next 12 months should establish the utility, positioning, and value of the pre|CISION platform, in turn maximising potential partnering opportunities.
  • Avacta reported H126 revenue of £0.06m (H125: £0.06m), R&D investment of £9.69m (H125: £7.2m) reflecting planned increases in clinical and preclinical development work on the pre|CISION pipeline, and SG&A of £3.87m (H125: £4.47m). The operating loss was £13.9m (H125: £14.2m), which together with non-cash items relating to the convertible bond, translated into a net loss of the net loss was £19.0m (H125: £16.1m). End-June 2026 cash was £20.3m (£16.9m at end-FY25).

Trinity Delta view: Avacta is employing its pre|CISION technology to create a portfolio of PDCs (peptide drug conjugates) that improve the therapeutic index of highly potent yet systemically toxic oncology drugs. Recent clinical progress with AVA6103, the first of its next generation PDCs enabling sustained release of an exatecan payload, provides early human validation that the platform successfully replicates the promising results seen in preclinical models. Initial AVA6103 efficacy data in H127 should be a critical milestone for Avacta; confirmed targeted tumour localisation and a reduction in systemic toxicity in multiple solid tumour clinical settings should serve as the crucial validation step required to de-risk the wider pre|CISION platform. Robust human clinical data should also act as the natural catalysts to drive meaningful, well-validated commercial partnerships. AVA6207, the lead next-gen dual payload programme, is close to candidate selection and targeting an IND around end-2027 or early-2028. As usual, following this proposed fundraise we suspend our valuations and forecast. Our last published Avacta valuation was £525m or 111p/share (105p fully diluted).
